I have read the thread on Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers and am not convinced they are safe. They seem to come up in every play group that we take part in so I wanted to know how everyone is feeling about them these days. I see them squashed on the floor quite frequently and it worries me that my DD might try one. I called them about 2 months ago and they assured me that all their goldfish including the different color ones were totally safe because the peanut butter items were run in a different facility.
Any input would be appreciated.
Who uses goldfish crackers?

My daughter eats them without incident. We buy them frequently.
My daughter eats them almost every day - the regular and the colored ones.
My son has eaten the cheddar and the colored ones. He doesn't like the colored ones and only sometimes likes the cheddar ones. We have not had a problem with them. I recall a thread a while back from someone who had a reaction to the large sized goldfish - a cross contamination issue, so we avoid those. I also seem to recall that the bags that have a variety of kinds in it are not safe.

We eat them occasionally without problems. I stick with original, parmesan, or cheddar.
I called Pepperidge Farms I believe it was last summer, and the woman who started up Pepperidge Farms many many years ago did so because she was always baking things for her child because she was allergic. At least that is what the person told me when I called, and she said if there was any chance of an allergen it will be listed after ingredients. We eat them often without incident as well.
My son eats them on a regular basis and has never had any problems.
We eat the parmesan, cheddar, colored, babies, and pretzel varieties without problems here. They are often a part of ds's lunch at school. We stick with the little ones. HTH Kristi

I was always concerned about the fish because they also make a peanut butter type. Does anyone know if they are made on the same lines? thanks , Kathy Ann
