What is your problem?
I would chose to discreetly tell the person, not scream it across the room.
OKAY!!!

Duly noted. If the topic of toilet paper and butts comes up again, I will be sure to ask your opinion.

Again, I sense hostility from you? boobri...?
I only made a suggestion as to how you could have let her know without telling everyone the info was there and without giving up your own e mail adress by emailing her directly.
I don't really see why you are jumping down my throat?
Apparently I am not the only one who thought that you could have been more discreet.
That's all.

It appears there's a small concentration in Michiana. I declare an Amish conspiracy!
Just kidding.
My family's from Elkhart County. I grew up further south, in east central Indiana. I sometimes miss the sky, though I'm rather fond of the hills and old mountains here in Virginia.

It depends on what you want to do.
If you're into swimming/water parks, there's Great Wolf Lodge with it's Indoor Water Park. Honeymoon type of stuff, well, I always wanted to stay at a Caesar's Resort but maybe that's kind of cheesey. There are two B&B's that are relatively close to me that I always thought might seem nice to stay in. Or there's Stroudsmoor Country Inn with it's great Italian feasts and Sunday Champagne Brunches. Some people like Shawnee Inn, and I think the Shawnee Hot Air Balloon Festival is that weekend. If you love shopping, Great Wolf Lodge would be nice because it's right down the street from the Crossings outlet complex. Be sure to go very early though, or you will never get a parking spot. Locals don't go at peak times.
So it really depends on what you want to do. I've never stayed at any of those places though. And it sure is going to be crowded in the Poconos that weekend (typical holiday) so allow mucho time for traffic jams.
thanks for the advice! we have looked up places on line but you sometimes just dont know if its a good aera or its just a cheesy spot to "do it!"

sakr, I have tried to handle this with humor, but I can see that's not going to work.
I did a nice thing here. Believe me, if I wanted to be malicious there were lots of other options for me.
To be blunt, I do not understand why you are involved in this issue at all. If you sense hostility, start there.
I don't think the board moderator exists to ferry emails back and forth between board members. I would be surprised if he sees this as his role. (Honestly, NO amount of ad revenue would be worth the hassles of managing this board to me.)
The internet is a public forum. I gently pointed that out. Hopefully this discussion has been of value to others who do not want their personal information sticking out like toilet paper from their pants.

No, people can only find your personal information if there are pages on the web that contain your email along with that personal information. However, you'd be surprised at how many times that's the case. Universities are notorious for not keeping this information secure.
If you use your main email in forums like this one, it is spidered and indexed by search engines like Google and Yahoo. If you post it direct as xxx@yahoo.com, spam companies strip it out of boards like these and use it to send you junk mail.
If you're going to post an email on this board, you should use an alias email. There are two ways to do that. Usually, your service provider offers the option of setting up alias emails. You can choose to have those aliases either point to your mail inbox or to your junk mail (depending on how you set them up).
The other option is to set up a free account and use it specifically for chat boards.
One last piece of advice: I would never post your work email for anything you don't have to. Companies routinely search on their domain name (i.e. "@company.com") just to see where their employees are posting.
This public service announcement is over. I now return you to your regularly scheduled topic. )

People from pittsburgh have their own language.
No foul intended. My husband is from pittsburgh, we were just there a couple of weeks ago. They end most sentences with prepositions, say younz (how do you spell that) and have their own endearing 'isms!
I live in NJ, but born and raised in Colorado. I miss it sometimes. I went to college in Columbia, MO.

i think younz means "you ones." when i was little and living in winona, missouri; we had a babysitter that didn't like the way we said "ya'll" (we had just moved there from another area). she lined us up - my younger twin brothers, my little sister, and i - and made us say "you'ns" over and over.
i think it's so funny that she fixed our slang with some of her slang.

(edited) has got it! Is there a correct way to spell it, (edited)? I just guess-I have no clue!
It's just a slang way to address a group of people. The same as "you guys" & "you all" It's so well known in Pittsburgh though...everyone says it! I can even remember back in the day listening to the radio- WDVE 102.5...Jimmy & Steve on Friday morning screaming "Hey Y-un-z guys - it's Friday!!!" (Maybe they still do...although I don't think it's Jimmy & Steve anymore...do you know, (edited)?) I'm in MD now, not sure!
All this Pittsburgh talk makes me miss it & all my gal pals!!! Sniff, Sniff...I need to make a trip up there soon...

Getting an even bigger kick out of my husband's face when he hears this!!! (The way I speak can really irritate him at times, but he still married me! Go figure!)

And a lovely town it is. We were just back there for a week's vacation in July. (My mom had a girls' reunion - we drove with her.)
I do think a lot about how, if we liquified all assets, we could live on that lake and work a lot less than we do now. Cost of living low; standard of living high. What's not to like?

Um, no, that's a different song--you know, the one by Raffi: "CA-NA-DA, have you ever seen a lobster crawl?"
Hmmm . . . was that on "Banaphone?" Not my favorite CD, but it had some good stuff on it.

Jersey girls,
Are you all up on the Dept of Education process follow-up to the new law?
This year, NJ is coming out with guidelines and procedures similar to what MA and CT did in their Dept of Education "Managing Life Threatening Allergies in Schools" documents. Only ours will also cover asthma, latex, insects, and be even more comprehensive! A letter is going out to all NJ school districts regarding this in September, from Dept of Ed.
Sorry to hijack with a NJ thing...I'm a little north of, but not too far from those of you in central NJ.
