Booandbrimom, my DH didn't live there as a child, only as a teenager, so I'm sure you didn't cross paths. But you both know the town!
And a lovely town it is. We were just back there for a week's vacation in July. (My mom had a girls' reunion - we drove with her.)
I do think a lot about how, if we liquified all assets, we could live on that lake and work a lot less than we do now. Cost of living low; standard of living high. What's not to like?

I'm from the place they make Tabasco. Well 5 minutes away.
And reside now South of Lafayette, LA...South Cental LA...or Acadiana as we call it.
I have two kiddos. Aidan, 6, is my MFA kid. Jen, 4, has no NFAs.
And I am a SAHM. Almost 30.
There are a few people on here that know my last name. It is 100% cajun.
Speaking of...McCobbre how are ya? I haven't searched the boards a whole lot to see how the move went.

PeanutFreeInMD - I'd love to know your thoughts on FCPS (if you have kids in FCPS) and dealing with food allergies. I'm in Frederick County, too.
