qdebbie1 --- Oh, I thought you edited out a new disclaimer addition. Thought you were trying out this:
Dont tell me any differently because life is much more fun when you chuckle.
BTW, I think that is cute -- and correct! It would have been okay if you called me dork -- thought it was funny. As for MB, today she is merciless -- just keep biting.

Followed the thread and read the first page or so. Dag nab it, I've missed the drama. Silly me, I just pop in, read the current day's threads of interest, then go to a Disney online group for my drama. Seriously though, I think group schisms are the norm every few years on the net.

This thread started me thinking about groups one chooses to join. I really appreciate the information and support from this group, but I'd rather not have a reason to be a member (ie. wishing no allergies for my son.) Perhaps that's why I do my worrying with you all, and my socializing elsewhere.

I keep losing sight of the subject of this thread!
Disclaimers. I thought they were supposed to be humorous. I'd like to think noone would take advice from a stranger on the web without substantiating it, if you know what I mean.

in that case, do you have insight as to what Disney might be like at Fort Wilderness in October?
We've always went in April/May and once in June/July and been pleased as a Mouse with with a 3-D orchestra. I'm kinda hoping the weather will be dry enough to enjoy the outdoors, and warm enough for swimming. And no crowds.

I've been to WDW in October three times: once with my family and twice with the aforementioned Disney group. :-D
It can be very hot during the day. It can be crowded, depending on the conventions and whether Food & Wine Festival has started.
We're moving to Tampa this spring (mixed emotions on that one) so I'll experience all that central Florida weather first hand.

We live a few hours from Disney and find Oct to be a great month to visit if you are NOT going during Halloween. The weather is cooler, hardly rains and it is easy to get a sit down reservation to Tony's Italian restaurant. Safest for those with food allergies that we have been to by far at Disney. There are aslo a about 10 days during the month that you can buy a ticket for the night time and they only allow about 5,000 (maybe less) people in the park and it is great. My friends went this year and there was no waiting in lines. There was some candy past out but mostly toys and no nut candy that they could see. It has something to do with Halloween month. Hope this helps.

absolutely it does. Thank you jean, as well.
If I'm not mistaken, there were several "family night" guest only night time "open late" park dates we attended during the "50 year" celebration this last april/may. Awesome. It was truly: a "Carry them home asleep from too much fun" time. Gotta admit, I loved it too. At one point, we were running through the line markers to the front (no line, actually) to watch the "3-D" shows over and over and over....... I went "gift shop crazy" too.
