oops! my DD has asthma, and eczema too, and that DS with no allergies has asthma as well.

Foods I have tested allergic to: Peanuts, soy, cows milk, tomatoes, carrots, apples, artichokes, peppers, lentils, chicken, wheat, celery, white beans, pyrethrum (pesticide) used on some foods. I buy organic everything. I am more allergic to pyrethrum than to anything else. Other allergies diagnosed - Yellow Jacket, White faced hornet, horses, dogs, cats, dust mites, mold, 11 different grasses and pollens, and also tobacco smoke. I also have had a diagnosed allergic reaction to the dye used for CAT scans. I carry an EpiPen mostly for the beesting allergy. The other allergies, while not nearly as life threatening pretty much combine to make life a lethargic, joyless, label reading, living hell.

Carol- has anyone ever suggested you strictly avoid chrysanthemums and their relatives (like asters, marigolds, etc.)? This is the source of the mixed pyrethrins used by most of the organic pest control companies. (A similar refined mixture is used by companies like Orkin upon request.)
Yowza! I mention this because I know that is often what we use (strips of these flowers) to organically control insect pests in our own gardens.

Me: eczema, asthma (EI, mostly- has made an unexpected return to my life [img]http://uumor.pair.com/nutalle2/peanutallergy/frown.gif[/img] )DUSTMITES, rodents, latex (contact only, TG), pollens, Rhus (severe), yellowjacket venom, perfumes and dyes (too numerous to list) wool, molds, citrus, and egg (moderate).
DH: walnut (severe), soy (moderate), green beans, apples, numerous pollen and mold allergies as well.
DD: Peanut (anaphylaxis), egg, wheat, rye, oats, buckwheat, soy, dairy, rice, apple, and environmentals to go with eczema and reactive airways (coughs and wheezes with any dust or illness). Also has a second anaphylaxis trigger of uncertain origin.
I often wonder where my daughter got her allergies from. (Just kidding! [img]http://uumor.pair.com/nutalle2/peanutallergy/wink.gif[/img] )

Corvallis Mom, thanks for the tip on marigolds. I knew to avoid chysanthemums. I used to work in a pesticide lab. (I developed processes for food-based baits). That is probably where the pyrethrum allergy came from, although I rarely worked with active ingredients. When I did, they were neurotoxins, like ivermectin, not pyrethrum. The allergist at the hospital was shocked at my test results, but nodded when I told him about my jobs. Also, my boyfriend gets asthma attacks from shrimp, coconut, and MSG. I haven't gotten him to a doctor - but I'm trying. I am not sure if it is sulfites or actual shrimp and coconut protein in his case. He has not been tested.

Taylor is allergic to peanuts, most tree nuts, pollen, dustmites, dog and cat dander, is has asthma and is just starting to outgrow is excema (yeah!)
Lauren (child #2) has never been tested have a sneeking suspision is allergic to tomatoes and other acidic foods, she does have asthma also.
Jenna(child#3) has never been tested has had one asthma attack and I think that might be it (keeping our fingers crossed)
Me I have hayfever and think I might have a allergy to cantalope I get very wheezy and my mouth gets itchy I've never been tested for it.
My husband has seasonal allergies!

My oldest daughter Amanda has seasonal allergies and is allergic to cats and dust.
Second daughter Molly is allergic to soy and has seasonal allergies.
Third daughter Hannah is allergic to eggs, milk, cashews (which is in the same family as mangoes, poison oak, sumac and ivy and pistacios). She's allergic to dust mites, too.
Son Max is allergic to peanuts, soy, egg, cats and dogs.
Husband is allergic to Oak, cats and bunnies. I've got seasonal allergies.

Husband: seasonal allergies and a whole list of foods such as peanuts, fish and tomato that he refuses to eat no proof of allergy but it would seem a possibility.
Justin: (13) seasonal allergies
Hannah (10) ceclor
Nick (4) anaphylactic to peanuts, milk and eggs also allergic to watermelon, mango and dog saliva.
Me: nothing that I know of.
