Samwise, you are so thoughtful! Thanks!!
I bet it meant a lot to that child to be included and get the same bag of treats as the other kids! Great job!

Samwise, you are a Goddess. I wish my kids went to school with yours!

A Goddess?!? I'd make a very poor goddess I'm afraid. Being a guy and all that is.
Although I have always wondered what I would look like in a kilt.

You now know that it didn't take a huge amount of effort, or break the bank to include all the children in a celebration. But, for that one child, you will be remembered.
Prior to dealing with allergies myself, I made a child's birthday party in my home safe for one child with multiple food allergies. When his mom picked him up I heard him say "she really likes me, guess what she did" and he told about the safe food and the safe cake, etc. About 10 years later he saw me talking to his mom one day, and he came over and hugged me and said "that's for the birthday party". All those years, and he remembered.

AnnaMarie,
Awww....
Samwise,
I figured you were a guy - and I'm guessing your username is from LOTR? Don't worry about being called a goddess... we have a guy who posts here frequently who's known as the "bald lesbian rabbi" or something like that. We're all harmless, really... one big family here.
Thanks again, Samwise, for helping a FA child!!!

I realize I am replying rather late, but wanted to say "THANK YOU!!!" to Samwise for being a caring human being. How many parents do we meet out there who give a hoot about children with allergies?
Wow,... only if we had more parents like you, Samwise.... we would have fewer worries.
God bless!
