I know that most of us with PA kids use products on them that are mild (Cetaphil, Dove,etc...) But I am wondering if any of you use deodorant soaps for the rest of the household.

I want to use ZEST. I called Proctor and Gamble, and they said although they do not put any peanut oils/products into their soaps, they could not confirm the safety of the vendors that they use from which they purchase the ingredients. It seems a little far fetched to me to think that using this product would result in a reation in my son...but stranger things have happened.

Please advise.

Thanks, Lisa

I use Lever 2000 and dd has never had any troulbe with it being around. She might have used it once or twice, but she uses J&J body wash(the one for hair and body) since she used it her whole life without trouble. I know folks do not like J&J, but I do not like switching from what works for her skin. becca

I use Ivory bodywash, the white one. It has at least some scent to it and fortunately it doesn't bother the babies. DH uses plain Ivory bar soap. The kids use Vanicream.

Did you know Cetaphil body lotion contains a nut oil (I think macadamia)? I was using this on my daughter before she was diagosed with allergies and when I read it I could not believe it. You would think Cetaphil would be a safe product!!!

Dove for Sensitive Skin used to contain almond oil. (I haven't checked a label recently, so I don't know if it still does.)
I use regular Dove, but don't use it on my son (who is allergic to almonds and peanuts). I use Johnson and Johnson Baby Wash on both of my kids, but will probably switch them to some sort of bar soap soon ...
