pJust found out that we're going to be moving back to the US next summer (mid-July). DS will have to start Kindergarten there in August. I have no idea what city we're going to be living in, much less which school he'll be in. Any suggestions on what to do to get ready for school? I've seen frequent references to "504", and assume that's something like an IEP, but don't know exactly. Obviously, I need to talk to the school principal and teachers ASAP after finding out where he'll be. Any suggestions?/p

Shawn, I just asked the same questions since my son will be attending school next Aug. also, I'll re-raise that thread (how soon should I approach school?) I got some great advice from there.

Hey Rhonda,
It's good to know your still in pa.com cyberspace. I haven't seen you post for awhile.
All your info has been tremedously helpful, which has ensured a smooth and easygoing transition into kindergarten for Ryan (and me too!). Believe me, I don't think I could have done it without your help.
Thanks a million!

Hi Ryan's Mom!
Great to hear from you too. Thanks for the kudos. I'm so glad it helped you and Ryan.
-I was working on Katie's 504 Plan and getting everything ready for school this year. How are things going for you? Katie's teachers and principal have been wonderfully communicative and supportive.
Stay safe,
Rhonda
