What about other allergies?

pMy wife met someone who told her we should have our son tested for other allergies.br /
He was tested for tree nuts at the same time as his Rast test with no problems.br /
What about oils?/p

Tree nut oils are unsafe. Peanut oil if heat treated is said to be safe. I doubt if many people here believe that though. Cold pressed peanut oil (which is the kind used for flavoring and in Asian cooking) is NOT safe. We avoid all peanut and tree nut oils.
If you think about it, we all worry about cross contamination and usually don't use foods processed on a shared line with peanuts. I imagine no matter how much they heat that peanut oil, there's always going to be a cross contamination risk. So if you didn't consider it a direct threat, it should at least be treated as a may contain. : )
