I wrote the area manager for all of our Wendy's re: DS's food allergies (egg, PN, TN). He sent back a nice note explaining that he is allergic to eggs and sent the info from the corporate offices w/ ingredients. It looked good but I had a few questions and called him. We were talking about what DS could eat there (had decided on fries, nuggets, and burgers) and as we were finishing up he said "you might want to ask for a kaiser roll for his burgers since we do an egg wash on the regular buns"...he also said he is able to eat the buns b/c it is not enough to bother his allergy. Well, now what? This is not listed ANYWHERE in the info they gave me...I'm wondering if I should call someone even higher up than him, but will I ever really find out anything definitively? Does anyone have a child who also has an egg allergy and is able to eat Wendy's burgers?
So confusing...
Thanks,
Melissa

I just looked on the Wendy's website for the ingredient list and did not see egg listed for the rolls. Did you ask them why this isn't listed for ingredients?

I did ask him. Actually I said something like " wow, even though you don't react to the egg wash, others w/ an egg allergy may and I would think that would have to be listed"...he said he thought it was b/c it is such a small amount, and then baked in...maybe this is just in this area, and not their nationwide policy?

Has anyone recently eaten at Wendy's with their tree nut allergy kids?
How about Jack in the box, IN-N-OUT and Carl's Junior?
Thanks

My dd eats at In & Out she eats the French Fries and the burger patty. She doesn't eat the bun because of soy nor the milkshake because of soy. She is PA/TNA also.

In-N-Out is fine AFAIK, but you may want to call their HQ to see. My son has also eaten at Carl's Jr. with no problems.
