Wendy's is the only Fast food chain that I trust. We check each time. I am happy with there storage of allergens & the prepackaged items for toppings.
I do NOT trust McDonalds or BurgerKing
I checked the web-site (Canadian version). It does list allergens in bold, but it does not list *may contains*.
My main concern is the risk of sesame seed contamination. It is not listed under the buns - but I don't think they check it out. The site says they list what the manufacturers tell them - not all companies list the risk of cross-contam. with sesame seeds.

tidina, I read that disclaimer at the bottom of the page - and I agree. It does say that different places might use some different ingredients.
does it. i know some restaurants say that on their website. i wouldnt eat a sesame seed bun burger in front of my son nor would i let him eat a plain bun. someday we will venture to wendys. cant be any worse than mcdonalds. found a sesame seed on a chicken nugget. always check the food first!!
hi. i read posts on the restaurants topic and in 2005 people were saying they didnt trust wendys frostys because of the mix ins like m&ms and butterfinger. on this post though people seem to think they are safe??? any thoughts?
We ate Wendy's for lunch today Ds had his usual nuggets fries and frosty. I've never actually seen the mix ins on the menu - maybe our local Wendy's doesn't have them?
I eat there a lot and have never even SEEN the actual mix in but I'm pretty sure it's individually wrapped.
i think i will let my son try the fries and frosty. do you eat the burgers. my son has been eating the burgers at mcdonald with no problems. i always check them for sesame first.
My son is EA and PA and he eats the burgers. I am not sure about the sesame. I don't know if any of there products have sesame. I don't think they do. At the restaurant they have a pamplet with all the ingredients listed out. Maybe you could go by there when your son is not with you and look at that or there website.
Hi! My son is PA/TNA and allergic to Sesame/Poppy/Sunflower seeds. We go to Wendys, but he only eats the nuggets, fries and drinks chocolate milk. I don't know about the buns so I don't let him order a burger.
I wonder if they get their bread from a place where they make other breads with seeds or do they make their own bread separately. Their ingrediant chart on the website does not list sesame. Most places don't list sesame yet. Hopefully one day they will.
