Hello! I am the mother of a 4 1/2yo with severe PA. She attends preschool 4 days a week with another severe PA child. Neither girl has had a problem until last week. The teacher brought in some baby chicks for all the kids to hold and cuddle. Both PA girls got significant rashes on their cheeks- nowhere else. The chicks were in class for 2 days, when the other mom, me, and the teacher started talking that this started on the day the chicks were brought in.(By this time both girls looked hideous!) The teacher immediately removed the chicks from the classroom. It took about 48 more hours for the rash on my daughters cheeks to improve, even with giving her generous doses of benedry. Topical hydrocortisone seemed to help. We initially thought that maybe this was viral, possibly 5ths disease, however, none of the other students were affected, and the rash never spread from the cheeks. So my question is, has anyone else had a problem like this? We are not sure what was in the feed or the nesting material in the cage. It just seems wierd that it was the PA kids that were affected! Thanks!
Kim

Wow! That is really weird. My dd used to break out from dog food biscuits and that took forever to figure out! So it very well could be something in the chicks food or something. Do both of the girls also have sensitive skin? I am glad that it is getting better!
I better go - my little PA just fell out of bed and stayed asleep! lol

It is really wierd, becuase none of the other kids were affected. Both girls had very similar, very angry red rashes on their cheeks and chin. Both girls have ecxema. The other girl also has asthma(my dd does not), but she did not have any respiratory problems to go along with the rash. No rash anywhere else on their bodies. That is so wierd about the dog biscuits! Did you ever find out what was in them that she reacted to?

The chicks were probably fed a chicken meal that includes peanuts in the food. People who are allergic to cats are most probably allergic to the cat's food. When pet cats have been put on a raw diet, the cat allergies often clear up.
Peanut shells are also cheap and could have been used in the bedding.

Safety issues arise when you are traveling with your child in a car and there is always the threat of an accident therefore it is advisable you use a child safety seat. Similarly child safety locks are meant to prevent toddlers from getting hold of things unsafe for their consumption or can hurt them. Child safety locks can be used to lock cabinets, drawers, wardrobes etc. Another important child safety product is the child harness that is mainly designed to protect small children when they being to walk. The child harness usually has shoulder harness tied to the child’s back so as to stop him/her from falling. Apart from that safety products can also be in the form of safe electrical sockets.

For most parents, finding an affordable, reputable center is the main concern when sending a child to preschool or daycare. But safety comes first for parents of children with food allergies, who have to do a lot of planning to make sure the center can safeguard against exposure.
Because food allergies have become more common, some preschools and daycares already have experience working with food allergic children.Swiss watches replica.
