Today is the first day of the rest of our lives in a nut-free environment. My 14 month old daughter had her first real taste of peanut butter tonight, and what started with hives quickly morphed into respiratory issues. We've bought our epi-pens, and we're going in for allergy testing first thing in the morning, but for now we're spending the rest of our night clearing our house of all nut-associated products, as well as watching our baby breathe.

I'm looking forward to meeting more parents who are dealing with children and allergies, and in learning on how to cope, how to educate our families, and keep our baby safe :)
