There was a Wall Street Journal article about food allergies and food labeling in the Monday, July 12, 1999 issue of the Wall Street Journal. The article was on page A17 in the "Health Journal" column. This is the first page of their "Marketplace" section which usually appears on B1, but the usual A and B sections were combined on Monday.

I was unable to find a link.
