Lisa posted this link for us to vote in an on-line poll. It was buried on the 4th page of the thread, so I thought I'd also post it here for people who miss it.

The questions asked are:
Do you think schools should ban peanuts to protect children with allergies?
Absolutely -- peanut allergies can be deadly
A ban is too drastic, but they should find a way to keep allergic kids safe
No -- other kids shouldn't suffer because of one child's health problem
Fortunately, only 14% of respondants think that kids shouldn't suffer (so who cares if allergic kids are kept safe).. so selfish..
I suggest voting in this poll to show that we do want to keep PA children safe.

How many times can one vote?
I just voted. Theresa
Guys, get there and vote! It is now up to 28% voting that other children shouldn't have to "suffer" because of one child's problem. Oh, my, what torture to be deprived of a peanut butter sandwich for a few hours during the week. And you can vote multiple times. After you view the results click on "click here to vote" and you can go back and vote again.
ETA: I'm sorry, I'm crying, and I know I am overreacting to this, but I just lost a friend this week due to peanut issues, and I guess I am overly emotional right now. It is now 37% that other kids shouldn't have to suffer; even more than the middle of the road answer, that bans are too drastic but measures should be taken to protect the allergic children, which is at 34%. People suck.

Anyone think that the National Peanut Board, Planters, etc may have an interest in voting that "that other children shouldn't have to "suffer" because of one child's problem" (and voting multiple times in fact)...
We need to vote in there too to ensure our viewpoint is heard - to match all the votes of those people in the peanut industry so that everyone will know the safety of PA children is important.
The peanut industry must be in there.. the vote for "No -- other kids shouldn't suffer because of one child's health problem" has shot up to 57% now.... the peanut board must have called everyone in to vote.
I can't believe 57% of people would not care about the life of schoolchildren with PA.
Erik, THANK YOU for posting this here so that everyone will see it!
Everyone, this poll is really swinging the WRONG way right now; and if you really want to get your blood pressure up, then scroll down to where it allows you to post a comment and click on the 'read all comments' ...
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR......
We can only hope that the few rational comments being made in our defense will at least educate a few of the folks out there...
Please vote!! and add comments, if you feel the calling to....
Thanks,
Lisa
This poll is definitely being spammed now. The numbers voting have increased over 2400 people in a half hour, more than doubling. They probably have computers set up to vote over and over again. I am voting multiple times, but I don't think there's any way we can keep up with that.
UGHA...I can't believe this poll 'shifted' so quickly? I agree, this has to be some automatic-voting going on...
Everyone, PLEASE VOTE! you don't have to be a member of ParentCenter; you don't have to sign in or do anything except ONE MOUSE CLICK...
If nothing else is accomplished, at least we can show that there are some of us out here that are trying to 'do the right thing' for the safety of our kids--and other kids, too, that need our support!
Thanks again,
Lisa
