Vegetable Oil

Hope someone can help me. Most resturants use vegatable oil for frying. Is that true that it may have a warning of traces of peanuts or processed in a plant that processes peanuts??? I heard this and I just can't believe it. Does anyone feel safe to use vegatable oil with a warning on it???
