ConAgra Dairy Recalls 3,600 pounds of Fleischmann's Unsalted Stick Margarine
(SafetyAlerts) - ConAgra Dairy Foods is voluntarily recalling 3,600 pounds of Fleischmann's Unsalted Stick Margarine with the UPC Code 298370 because it may contain undeclared milk. The product can be identified with the "best if used by" date on the carton of APR 15 02 EN 15 with time codes between 06:30 and 08:00.
The product was distributed in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Indianapolis, IN (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that ConAgra Dairy Foods is recalling Fleischmann's Unsalted Margarine in 1 lb. packages with 4 - 1/4 lb. sticks per package.
This is the first public notice of this Class lI recall issued by the FDA.

WALNUT ALLERGY ALERT

Awrey Bakeries of Livonia Michigan is recalling Carrot Sheet Cake 40 Cut
(Nut Free), sold through its Livonia Outlet Store because it may contain
undeclared walnuts.
The product was distributed through Awrey's Outlet Store located at 12301
Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan and sold on Thursday October 11, 2001
through Saturday October 13, 2001. As many as 17 Carrot Sheet Cakes may
have been mislabeled.
The product is a 12x16 sheet cake in a corrugated tray that is wrapped in a
poly film. The lot number 015801 appears on the side of the tray.
Consumers who have purchased any of these cakes may return them to the
Outlet Store for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the
company at (734) 513-4260.

Columbia, MD (SafetyAlerts) - Rhee Bros., Inc. is recalling 8.04-oz. packages of "Margaret" brand Korean cookies due to undeclared egg.
The product was distributed nationwide in Asian food retail stores. The product, packaged in a cardboard box and marked with "Lotte Margaret" and "Soft Cookies", bears an item number 09828K on the label.

Mississippi Establishment Recalls Sausage And Ham Products Because Of Undeclared Ingredients
Flowood, MS. (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that Sanderson Farms Inc. is recalling frozen sausage and ham products because they may contain an undeclared ingredient (monosodium glutamate or MSG).
This is the first public notice of this Class llI recall issued by the FDA.
The products subject to recall were distributed to retail and institutional establishments nationwide, and bear the establishment number "EST. 1600" inside the USDA seal of inspection.
The retail product identifiable to consumers is "Sanderson Farms SAUSAGE AND HAM (WATER ADDED) JAMBALAYA WITH RICE" packaged in 2.25-pound packages containing oven microwaveable trays.
This retail product was produced on various dates ranging from Aug. 13, 2001 through Sept. 19, 2001. The following packaging codes are found on the product label: "225111," "225211," "225311," "225411," "239111," "241111," "241211," "241311," "242111," "242211," "250111," "250211," "255111," "255211," "262111," "262211," "262311," "262411," or "262511."
The institutional products subject to recall are:
"Sanderson Farms READY TO COOK RED BEANS AND SAUSAGE For Red Beans and Rice" packaged in cases, containing 7-pound pans, with a case code of "1114,"
"Sanderson Farms READY TO COOK SAUSAGE AND HAM (WATER ADDED) JAMBALAYA" packaged in cases, containing 7-pound pans, with a case code of "1064," and,
"SYSCO IMPERIAL READY TO COOK Sausage and Ham (Water Added) Jambalaya" packed in cases, containing 7-pound pans, with case codes of "2105" and "1480466."
The institutional products being recalled include all production prior to Oct. 19, 2001.
"We urge consumers, especially those with known sensitivities to MSG, to check their refrigerators and freezers," said Thomas J. Billy, FSIS administrator. "If they find any of the products listed above, consumers should not eat them, but return them to the point of purchase. Also, diners with MSG concerns may wish to ask if their meals contain the recalled product."
The problem was discovered when Sanderson Farms received notification from their supplier advising them that sausage the company used for further processing may contain MSG, which was not declared on the sausage ingredient statement.
