Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. It must be very difficult to have to go through the "what's safe" exercises all over again. Plus...foods he liked...that's rough on him when he has fewer choices to begin with.

I'm very sorry to hear about that--especially sunflower. Sunflower oil is in everything these days, and sunbutter . . . well . . . .
There are a couple of recipes for sesame-free hummus in the snack thread.
I'm sesame allergic, and it's just now becoming a problem for me. I can still buy store-bought bread, although none with sesame, obviously. I know it's not an easy one to live with, but check out the sesame roll call in off topic, and there are some people there who have dealt with it quite a bit. Also, if you go to allergicliving.com, there are some allergy specific boards, and there's a board for sesame. There's a misc board, and perhaps there's a sunflower thread there, or you could start your own.
