Smith’s Food and Drug Stores said today it is recalling select Smith’s Bakery Fresh Carrot Cake sold in 7 states because the product contains walnuts that may not be listed on the label.

Customers should return the product to stores for a full refund. People who are allergic to walnuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to walnuts, there is no safety issue with the product.
No customer illnesses have been reported to date.
