Procter & Gamble, thank-you! I really appreciate how quickly you got this information on the board. Wow!
Many thanks and best wishes!

I want to thank P&G and also all of the members on this board who quickly contacted them either by phone call or email. I wish we could do this with more companies!
I am glad to see that they do not use any peanut derivative in their products but I am still wondering what has caused so many of our children to have problems with their products. I am still switching to another detergent to see if it helps with his 'bumps' and itching. If it doesn't seem to improve then I may go back because I love my Tide.

NaomiR: Yes, it still leaves me with the mystery of what is making us itchy with these products? We've left these products long ago with great results, no more itching! I love how Tide cleans your clothes but it's just not an option for us! ...neither is the downey!

THANK YOU P&G! You are the first company to come on the board and address our concerns. Your responsiveness is much appreciated (even if the source of my children's irritation remains a mystery!)!

Thank you P&G!!!!
Not only did you come once, but twice to clarify this important issue for all of us. So many board members use your products and we have been twisted in knots thinking there may be peanut in your products. I personally cannot thank you enough for your responsiveness and dedication to the end consumer.

I am really impressed! We use the ALL, but we do also use the Bounce Free sheets with no problems. As a child, I remember my mom stopped using Tide because I continuously had bumps and itching (I'm not PA). I always thought it was just the fragrance they used combined with my sensitive skin. Maybe it is the same for some of your children.
I did learn from this thread that they make a Tide Free! I have never seen it. Because I have often heard good things about Tide and am so impressed with their concern and professionalism, I will be looking for that product!!

Well, hmmm, I am totally confused. I am very glad someone from P&G took the time to post here but I am also confused as to why they are posting that there are NO peanut products in Bounce while the person I spoke with at P&G said there IS peanut product in bounce and possibly in all the fragrance products?
Now I don't want to negate the fact that a company spokesperson took time out to post here but why is this information superior to the information that many of us got when calling the company directly?
Did I miss something?
Thanks!

Hi Everyone,
After reading these posts, I contacted P&G Monday morning, making two separate phone calls. One to the Tide Department and one to the Dreft department. I have received two phone calls this morning from P&G.
9:40 a.m. - Maryann of Dreft called. "There are is no peanut or peanut derivative in any of our laundry products."
10:00 a.m. - Pat of Tide called. "There are no peanut derivatives in any of our laundry products. The only one that has a trace amount is Downey CALMING MIST Enhancer and it's in the perfume. We are working with the perfume supplier to eliminate this problem." I had asked her about Tide, Downey, Bounce, Dreft, Cascade, and Dawn as well. "There are no peanut derivatives in [all of the above products I named]."
Thought you all would want to know!

Thanks P&G for the quick response. And thanks to Pat and Maryann of P&G for getting back to me so quickly! With this kind of customer concern and accomodation, P&G will surely keep our business. Here's to hoping that food manufacturers will follow suit!

If reformulating the fragrance is diffucult, perhaps in the interim, adding a warning to the label would be possible?
