The rules change (again)

I've been administering my son's severe peanut allergy for 10-1/2 years now and just when you think you've figured things out, the rules change. We used to fly only United since they were peanut-free but now post-9/11 it's a new game. I just found out United only serves meals in First Class and Business Class. I booked a flight several months ago through and at the time United served meals in Economy Class too. So be forewarned: reducing the risk now means buying the more expensive tickets so you're not sitting next to someone in Economy class serving their kids PB&Js.

It's too late now to change our reservations. I had them note my son's allergy and they will move us closer to the front of the plane if anything comes available.

(heavy sigh)
