I thought since alot of us dealing with food allergies also deal with eczema this would be a good place to ask for some advice about sunscreen. What brand would anyone recommend for my 16 month old with very sensitive skin/eczema that would also be safe for my pa 3yo. I have though about ordering vanicream I have not tried it before, and can't find it locally, so will have to order online. Thanks for any suggestions.

the only sunblock I was able to come across that didn't break my son out in hives(the one with eczema) was Banana Boat's Sensitive Eye formula(I think that is the name, I don't have any at the moment). As soon as I put other sunblock on him(I've tried many brands over the last 6yrs) his eyes would start to itch and water and his back would be covered in hives and itchy until he got in the water...then it would all go away. The Sensitive Eye formula doesn't cause anything to happen. A few years ago I heard bad things about Banana Boat, but I have to stick with this sunblock, from personal experience it's worked for us. Good luck on the search. edit, too many spelling errors!

I used to use the physical block version of Vanicream until they added a preservative I'm allergic to.

We have used Paula's Choice - you order it online. I have used it in the past for ds for sensative skin only...I need to check it out for PA...but I think it's good.

We use California baby. It says on the label no nuts, gluten oils in product (I think it maybe dairy free too, but can't remember). It does have coconut in it though. It is all natural and works well. I find it at places like Sprouts, Whole foods... so it is nut free and natural. California baby also makes nut free shampoo, conditioner, detangler and a cream to prevent bug bites. I love all their things. They have senstive skin body wash and then they have one with a lavander scented one.
