It is only $2.97 a jar. I taste similar but not as good as soy nut butter but worth 1/2 the price.[/b]
Do you mean that it doesn't taste as good as the brand you normally get? They're both soy nut butter, right? We use IM Healthy right now at over $4 a jar and it would be nice to save some $$ but I'm not sure I want to try it if it's not as good. Maybe I'll get the great value for recipes and the IM Healthy for sandwiches.

Where was it located in the store?? Right now I have only one store that carries the soy butter at $5.99 a jar. We go through more than a jar a week with 3 kids (and a dog who gets it in her "kong" to make her happy when crated for any length of time).
Yes, I do not think it tastes as good. That was just me spooning it out, maybe with jelly, apples or celery its better.
I am not suprised you didnt find it, its in the peanut butter section.
Does it say, "made in a nut free facility" or something to that effect?
yes it does
Wow! thats great...I'm off to Walmart.
I called Great Value about a week ago and they said that it was peanut free 100% and no possibility of contamination in all of the plant.
Has anyone seen this in a regular walmart? We don't have a supercenter and was hoping ours would have it, but so far they don't.

i found it at wal mart too. i don't like it nearly as much as sunbutter, creamy BUT i am thrilled wal mart finally added a pb alternative to the shelves. my oldest (non-PA) daughter thought it was really good; even better than sunbutter and/or pb, in her opinion. i thought it was a bit thinner than sunbutter, creamy; more like a sauce than a butter.
oh;and yes; the price was much better than what i have to pay to get the sunbutter shipped to my house. i wish someone in my area (missouri) would carry sunbutter. i cannot force myself to pay that kind of s/h fee very often.
