Publish date:

Alpine Sausage Kitchen, an Albuquerque, N.M. establishment, is recalling approximately 3,350 pounds of beef and pork products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens,. The products contain soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

The sausage products were produced on various dates from February 4, 2014 and March 26, 2015. The following products are subject to recall:

  • - 10-lb. boxes containing “Alpine Sausage Kitchen VIENNA SAUSAGE Calcium Reduced Dried Skim Milk Added.”

The problem was discovered during a routine label review by FSIS personnel.

FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.
