I'm new to this, but I have a PA 2 year old and need to know if anyone has had any bad or good experiences with Sonic Burger as we have just gotten one where I live.

We haven't ordered their burgers for our son as he prefers their chicken strips, but we have never had a problem. They have a sign at our's which says they use 100% vegetable oil, I always ask anyway. Just be wary...they do offer nuts for their sundaes and I think I remember some kind of peanut butter shake as a summer special.
I love Sonic, but haven't eaten there since finding out about my son's PA. There burgers may be safe (I haven't checked) but I'm scared to go there because of the risk of cross-contamination from all those sundaes & banana splits they make using nuts. I would bet there are lots of spilled nuts on all the work surfaces -- yikes. Of course everyone has their comfort levels, but just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in. Hope it helps.
My 12 yr old is highly allergic to tree nuts and peanuts he's eaten at Sonic lots of times and never has had a reaction.

We ordered a milk shake without looking at the menu, but they have added a lot of peanut products to their shakes. They use the same machines to mix shakes. No more shakes from Sonic for us.
