pI too have had a problem with the preschool my son will be attending this year. I'm really nervous because they said they can't tell the parents not to bring peanut products and I have to bring a snack for my child everyday because they don't want to be liable. If I had another program to send himbr /
to I would. This is a Christian school! They didn't even give the parents a chance tobr /
decide whether they minded or not. I'm goingbr /
to try to educate them, but they already seembr /
so closed minded. I also don't think it's fair to make him feel alienated from the other kids. His old mmo program was so great. They told the parents they had a peanut allergic child in the class and not tobr /
bring peanut snacks. To my knowledge, they did not have anyone complain./p

plsherri...send your own note home to parents, but not telling them not to bring it, but to make them aware of it and why it is dangerous for your son..hand it out individually at the door outside, as to not step on toes. Tell the classmates...you will be amazed at the kids..they give a hoot!br /
Do what you can as a parent, and if the teachers don't like it..too bad..Your son should not be put through emotional distress because of ignorance of teachers...and if you aren't there educating ALL, he will feel the snowball effect passed from the teachers...hey want me to write them..I am in a fighting mode..these schools and teachers are really ticking me off. Wish I was a lawyer..I'd go after every school, every teacher, every ignorant jerk out there. I am serious though..you need any backup..you let me know, I'd be happy to give them my 2 cents worth.
