So Annoyed at unhelpful Ferry Company

Hi, I'm fairly new to the whole peanut allergy thing. Just wanted to vent about a really frustrating experience. We are travelling to France from Ireland by ferry (Irish Ferries is the company). I have phoned several times in relation to DD's peanut allergy. I couldn't get any information about cooking ingredients, was basically told that the company couldn't take responsability for our situation. Also asked if we could reserve a table - was told it couldn't be done. Finally to top it all off, I asked about medical personnel on board - there are none, a helicopter would have to be called but and I quote, "it wouldn't be there in 5 minutes"! I just feel so annoyed. I certainly wouldn't travel with Irish Ferries again. I'm really worried about the risks and just pray that nothing happens. Our daughter hasn't had any really serious reaction as yet and the thought of being aboard a ship if something did happen, is pretty scary. Cliona
