Just wanted to say I scheduled ds challenge today. He goes Feb 14. Let's hope we get a big fat Valentine! I'm seriously so nervous. 1 1/2 yrs ago he challenged & failed very early on. I think it was the 2nd taste to his tongue. But now, in prep for kindergarten we want to try again. BTW, we're repeating the skin test again first.

My DS had ana reaction to peanuts at age 4. Was re tested by rast and spt at age 6 with results not matching. The dr told me before the spt that if it was low or negative we would do a challenge. Of course it wasn't low, so no challenge.
He futher stated that if he hadn't had the ana reaction, he would do a challenge.
Just curious why you're challenging again, especially since the previous one failed.
Well, we're challenging again b/c the dr. thinks ds has a good chance of eventually growoing out of it. He originally tested class 2. When he had just turned 3 his cap rast & spt were neg. So we challenged then w/ a poor outcome. But he'll be just a month shy of 5 this time. If there's any chance he can start kindergarten w/out the allergy, I really want to do that. On the other hand, if he fails I still have enough time to pursue a 504 b/f school lets out.
