FYI:

I called on the Keebler Sargentino Cheese Dip & Sticks today. I was told that ALL un-refrigerated Sargentino products are NOT safe. The women told me that they do not use separate lines and their products would not be safe for a person with a peanut allergy. There is no warning on their labels.

And here we thought Keebler was getting more allergy aware. Guess I will continue my boycott of their products. btw I have never heard of sargentino-I guess that shows how I unconsiously ignore Keebler. lol.

MommaBear- Thanks for putting the correct spelling...it's Sargento. Are you talking about the moon and stars shaped cheese? If you are, it is a refrigerated product. The women said that their "non" refrigerated products are not safe. It wouldn't hurt to call and double check though...seeing they don't put a warning on their products.

didn't even notice. The original spelling *or* my apparent change in spelling. The mind *is* truly amazing. Wish I could put that "auto-pilot" on my checking account......

Interesting-I did not know that Sargento's was made by Keebler. I do remember a while back that there was a discussion about some Sargento snack thing that was not safe and when I called Sargento they were not very helpful at all.

This was the response I got last year:
"All Sargento shredded, sliced, and Ricotta cheeses and refrigerated cheese snacks are peanut-free and are produced in manufacturing plants that contain no peanuts. Sargento non-refrigerated snacks, however, are produced in plants that may contain peanuts."
I know I have called this year and I received the same response.
