Rush Limbaugh is negative and hateful and that is how he makes his living. He never has a kind word to say and dwells on being negative and smug.
If his child were pa he would probably be out of a job because that may instill a little compassion for others, which he obviously does not have. Anyone who is different he does not tolerate!
Shame on him!! I just e-mail John Williams from WGN radio, who I normally like. He is an afternoon host of 720Am for those Chicago listeners. He was equally as nasty about people with peanut allergies should not go to see a baseball game. Boy did I e-mail him a lovely letter. I told him he would not sit next to someone at a ball game who is on oxygen and blow cigarette smoke in his face. Show a little compassion people!
Anyway have a good night!

OMG! I'm sure Gary (NutterNoMore) never in his wildest dreams imagined that his son would become fodder for Rush Limbaugh.
I just don't know what else to say....

Hi,
I just looked up his show online and read what he said about the PA issue...it makes me so angry and frustrated. I'm still trying to find my place (or comfort level) with my sons PA diagnosis and I take it very seriously. I think about it all the time, worry about it often...I'm not obssessed but very "aware" of the potential seriousness of this allergy. I sometimes question if I am indeed crazy (re: PA) then I hear of another death or bad reaction and I say "NO, your not crazy Lisa, and *&^@ it if people think you are." I guess people like Rush aka Idiot, just make me wonder (for only a moment) if I am too viligiant about Logans PA. But, I've decided I dont care what others think...and when people raise their eyebrows when I say "He has life-threatening allergies", I 'm not going to let it make me feel insecure about my viligance anymore. I'd rather deal with their ignorance, than visit my sons grave. I just dont understand why people dont get it, it's not like we are saying they could die but no one ever has.....people have died from exposure to peanuts.....what's the problem with people not getting it.....ugh, so frustrating.
Needed to vent....sorry!
Lisa

Didn't I hear at one time that Rush had a hearing problem or something? Apparently he can't hear himself sounding like a "jack...".

That a man who uses his voice for a living would lose his hearing is beautiful karma.
C'mon Rush, leave the kids alone. Pick on someone your own size.

I'm a huge Rush fan. Unfortunately, it sounds like he isn't informed/educated about the seriousness of peanut allergies. I didn't hear the broadcast but frankly don't need to. I have gotten the same kind of response from people who I have considered to be my friends..even from my own family..."You want us to change our school for one kid! What! Give up my p.b.! It's the only thing I have time to make..and the only thing my kid will eat...Do you expect us to inspect lunch boxes..frisk kids to make sure they don't have p.b. on them," etc., etc. I've heard it all over the last ten years. It comes from not living the nightmare we live..and being allergic to something that everyone else enjoys and takes for granted.

Okay fine, people enjoy it and take it for granted. But what really makes ME angry (and here I don't even have a PA child) is that people are so selfish that they can't see that by doing something SMALL like eating their beloved food somewhere else, they are saving a life.
People spout all sorts of support for kids with disabilities, life threatening illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, and epilepsy....and are willing to accept them and accomodate them. However, if it affects them personally (by them not being able to eat pb around a child) they are all up in arms. There are children dying around the world from starvation-and people get upset about not being able to send pb in their kids lunch? We live in countries that have huge rates of childhood obesity-I'm sure that they can find something else to feed the kids.
The "changing school for one kid" thing also makes me ticked off. Schools are changed for all kinds of kids-if you have a kid in a wheelchair, children are asked to move out of the way, the child has special seating, automatic doors. Thing in the classroom may be adapted so that the child can participate. If there is a deaf child, an interpreter is in the class, at assemblies, and the child again has preferential seating and adapted things in the classroom. Should I go on?
I suppose it's because I've seen schools accomodate all kinds of children, whose disabilities are not life threatening. And to me, to have people voice that those kids should be accomodated and then be angry about pb makes me feel that they are total hypocrites. I suppose it comes down to the parents are happy as long as it doesn't affect them. Which really, to me, is hypocritical.
Sorry if this turned into a rant-but I couldn't help myself. :P This was not directed at anyone here at all, just me saying my own opinion.
