My husband surprised me with a trip to Timber Ridge water park (with the kids and spa services). Does anyone know of any safe restaurants up there? I am going to start calling places in downtown Lake Geneva, but thought someone could give me a head start. Thanks in advance.

What a nice gift!
We used to get to Lake Geneva often, when my parents rented there. I do remember having good experiences at Popeyes (it is not the fast food chicken place, but a resturant on the waterfront). The Culvers there advised against us eating there, due to the peanuts they use on the ice cream dishes. I also have been to the water park and remember eating there w/o incident. I also think there is a Bennegins?

My parents have a summer place in LG and we go there often. We have eaten at Popeyes (but always asked first) and Caravetti's emailed me back last year stating that they were safe (but again I would ask). But we eat most of our meals at my parents place.
I have been to Timber Ridge and we ate there, but fair warning...its pretty bad food in the Timber Ridge. The Grand Geneva is supposed to have decent food but I have never eaten there.
A few other places that I would recommend/but call are
fast food: Culivers, (do not get the custard or desserts)KFC or McDonalds all off of rt 50 in the Downtown area.
sit down meals in the DTW area: Popeyes, Hoolihan's, Carvetti's.

Wanted to add..great ribs/BBQ at Mars on Lake Como if you want to head about 10-15 out.
