Do any of you have children in what are called "Reduce the Risk" schools? What exactly does "Reduce the Risk" encompass at your child's school?

Also, do ANY of you have anything in your actual school board policy re "Reduce the Risk" schools and the guidelines that should be followed/met?

I will be back in later to post why I'm asking this actually, you know me, it's another long-winded story, but I was wondering if anyone did already have this in place, what it encompasses, if there are any guidelines in school board policy anywhere and also, if you feel your school deserves the label.

I will briefly begin to answer. My son's school is calling itself "Reduce the Risk" this year. This have done nothing different from last year except having me as the "official food checker person". I will outline what very little encompasses the "Reduce the Risk" label at my son's school later.

My school board policy has nothing in it re guidelines for what a school should/could be doing to thus label themselves.

Also, I am extremely angry that my son's school is even calling themselves this.

Any information would be most greatful, as I'm actually thinking of taking this one to the school board. Best wishes!
