I just found out that my 2 1/2 yr old son has a peanut allergy. It would be a great help if anyone could recommend books and rescources so that I can better understand the life changes that will necessary.
Also, preschool begins next week, and our school encourages parents to provide cupcakes for birthday celebrations. I would like to leave special peanut free treats in the classroom so my son will be able to participate in these celebrations without feeling left out. Does anyone have suggestions, recepies, resources?

Hey there! I could not live with the book The Peanut Allergy Answer Book by Michael Young. I have found Betty Crocker mixes use good allergy ingredient labeling practices. We always kept a small box of Barnum's Animal Crackers at school in case a surprise 'treat' was brought in without prior approval. Welcome to Peanutallergy.com, this is a good place for infomation (try a search first) we have all been in your shoes (just starting out) I know things may seem overwhelming right now, don't worry, it gets to be routine in no time.
