once the needle has "fired" from the epipen..can it every be reused again? like could you push the needle back in to the spring loader and fire it again?

again, really dumb question, but i was just wondering becuase I want to use an expired one to demo for my family...thanks!

I seriously doubt that is possible. The force that pen is under before firing would make that a pretty dangerous thing to do. Of course, you'd never try to reuse a needle that's already been used on an individual.

The epi packs come with trainers. They are the exact same mechanism without the needle. They are designed for practice so I would use them.

thanks Krusty.. this is a new but expired epi pen, so the needle hasnt fired out yet....therefore, has not been used on another individual....i hope..haha

I'd use it on an orange or grapefruit over any other fruit. Then you can use the trainers until you get another expired one.

Have fun!

First of all, you know what they say about dumb questions ... there are no dumb questions.

At the risk of sounding 'dumb' myself, I wanted to post that the trainers are reusable. This is not something that I knew at first.

I would be much more comfortable training others with the trainer and not an expired epi.
