I scooted into the store to-day (I do everyday but anyway) and I can't tell you how happy I was in the aisle with these granola bars when I realized how HUGE the "peanut free" label is on the front of the box. I'm just really pleased.
Q's Mommy, you lucky woman! Sounds like you got some of the kinds that my daughter is interested in. I suspect that my local store is just waiting to run out of old stock (including the pb one).
No, I'm happy.
tidina, if you have any Canadian contacts off-the-board you could always see if someone could send you some. I know that for a couple of years at least we had a really successful Smarties thing going. Jeez, now I'm thinking the Smarties thing died because we weren't supposed to ship food into America anymore, but then it was okay to do it again. It probably is okay. Worth checking out though.
Someone in Canada had priced a No Nuttin' bar (remember they're a lot more than peanut free though) at about $1.69 each - so yes, pricey, especially if you order a carton and it turns out the PA child hates them!
I did enjoy their samples though and can't knock them.
Yes, also, I think that Quaker realized that people were buying other bars instead and losing some customers. Just great stuff.
Perhaps we should send them kudos?
Best wishes!

my son loved the samples, i didnt even taste them. they do give suggestions on where else to get their bars but with the shipping you pay more money for less bars. its better to get them from nonuttin.com. they sent me a free shipping card with my samples. i keep asking my husband when we can order them. by the start of school year will be good or im going to split with someone.
I found the Rocky Road ones at WalMart today. DD saw them on the counter and asked if she could eat them. When her brothers came to see what see was getting (at ages 19,17 and 13!) DD said 'these are for me - you guys always get to eat all the other kinds - I've never had a granola bar before.'

I know, very cool, eh? Knowing my guy, he won't like them, but at least I can have them in the house for my daughter and I. My son doesn't even like the Nutrigrain Bars. Oh, he does like the Frosted Flake and Fruit Loop bars. I just have this feeling that he's not going to like them - that I'm so thrilled about something and he won't like it anyway, but I do know my daughter likes them and would enjoy having them in the house.
Great stuff! I might be popping into No Frills tomorrow (different than my usual grocery store), so I'll try to remember to check on them.
Best wishes!

I am going to Canada this weekend for easter & will be stocking up on my safe groc's
If anyone needs us to pick some up for them & mail them here in the States its no trouble to me. & we could set up a paypal thing for costs & prioritymail so that I won't have to deal with the packaging materials. I can pick up choc. bars & dare cookies too. Just email me.

so these are peanut/tree nut free? can someone read the label and let me know if theres natural or artificial flavoring because that could mean sesame and we are avoiding sesame. do canadian products have to list sesame. i would love some products picked up for me too. can you get nonuttin bars?

I was interested to see the new peanut free Quaker chewy granola bars in
the grocery store , THEN I read the label. Coconut oil, partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil,
trans fats, sulphites, artificial flavour, preservatives? This addresses my child
