Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to share the great news!
We enrolled Lindsey in "Sunrise Preschool" about 9 months ago.
Before her enrolment we explained that Lindsey's classroom would need to be a peanut free area. The Director worked with me very closely concerning all of the accomodations needed to make this happen.
In November,02 I did an inservice training program for the entire staff that included written materials, a "find the peanut quiz", label reading, how to recognize a reaction, and Epi-pen administration.
Unknown to me, one of the owners of Sunrise Preschools was present.
The inservice was Friday night....on Monday when I took Lindsey to school I saw signs all over the front doors anouncing that the entire school was "peanut free"!
Now for the BEST NEWS...................
This week the ownership of Sunrise declared that ALL SUNRISE PRESCHOOLS ARE TO BE PEANUT FREE!!!!!!!!!! YIPEE!!!!
I only asked for a classroom........
I'm so excited, I can't contain it!
I've let the owners know that I am available any time, and will do as many training/information sessions they would like.
My hat is off to Sunrise Preschools of Sunny Arizona!!
Much love to all!

Hats off to you Lori!
Put that TIARA on!
Peoria Peanut that I see it here on the board, its way too funny & cute! Maybe you ought to use it as your user name to attract people in & around your area.
You go Girl!

Thanks everyone for the support and well wishes! Beleive me...I,m no hero.
I did everything I could to be sure my child would be safe, and I knew that anything I did would help the next parent and child down the line.
I posted to another member off the boards that I began all of this out of sheer terror!
I was also reading the boards long before I ever registered, and began posting here.
My hat goes off to all of you!!!!!!!!!!
You are all heros! Every day you fight the battles for all our children!!!
God Bless You All!
