Teachers get a bad rap around here sometimes so I wanted to praise dds teacher. DD is in preK so they had an egg hunt for all the kids PreK-1st grade. Each child brought 12 filled eggs. No stipulations on what could be inside the eggs since so many classes were involved. No biggie to us. I really don't expect the world to change for dd. I just told her that we would trade eggs after the hunt. She was fine with that because she knows Mom and Dad overcompensate for the whole peanutty world.

Sooooo....after the hunt, we go back to the class and the teacher comes over to me and says, I saved these for Sara because I'm sure she can't have any of this. She had a bag of Hershey's kisses still in the package so we could read. I smiled and thanked her. Then, she proceeded to open each of Sara's eggs and replace the candy with the kisses. (No, I don't love that she had to take a peanut egg out of it and put the kisses in.) The fact that she was so thoughtful made me want to hug her.

Now I'm going to go make a gorgeous scrapbook as an end of the year teachers gift. And beg that she move to K next year

Thanks for listening. I was just so touched!

that is really wonderful of her. My sons K teacher, she tries and I appreciate her so much for doig so(and also asked if she'd teach 1st grade next year, lol!) but at Valentines day a mom brought in little reeces pb cups in a heart plastic glass...she dumped my sons, wahsed it with bleach and filled it with some extra safe candy she had(and gave me the bag)....I love your scrapbook idea for your teacher, I bet she'll just love it. I need to find my own personal gift(not a scrapbooker)....but good to hear a nice story for a change!!! HUGS
