I came across this while surfing. It's a few years old, but an interesting read. She talks about a passenger who got up & screamed that the flight was supposed to be peanut free after peanuts were being handed out.

This was helpful. Thanks. Actually, it's actually airborne shellfish exposure that's been documented more than airborne peanut exposure to cause reactions (although many of us know that our children suffer from airborne peanut exposure). So I wish the blog hadn't mislead there. Airborne shellfish is a huge problem.
Still, the sympathetic stance of this blog is much appreciated. Can this person be on all our flights?
