pPizzaria Unos menu was previously peanut free and they were tree nut free for a long time, too. They have now (since last Tuesday) introducted a new dessert that has a peanut butter cup with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter sauce drizzled all around the plate. I just called to complain and the woman told me that they are only testing that dessert. It will be on the menu for 6 months and if it does not do well, or they receive a lot of complaints, they will take it off the menu. However, if it does do well, it will become permanent. Here is the Unos web site if anyone else wants to call and complain:/p

Heather, no problem! I sent an email, and called today. This is so frustrating! I was transferred to Karen Julian and she did not know the answer, so she is having the VP of R&D call me back (his name is ED). I just don't understand how they didn't have the info right there when I called! I will post when I hear from them...

I received an e-mail response stating that the Peanut Butter dessert had been taken off the national menu. However, each local restaurant could decide whether they would carry it or not.

We eat at Pizzeria Uno often.
Regardless of whether or not there is a peanut product on the menu, a few establishments I've been to do serve PEANUTS at the bar.
Hasn't stopped us from going there (my two yer isn't much of a drinker), but I did want to mention it.

Sorry--hit send before I read for typos.
Should read:

Why can't you just not take your DD/DS to Uno's? Why do they have to change a menu designed to appeal to a broad demographic to contort to your specific desires? If they have peanuts, don't go there -- your dollar will serve as your vote.
