Petition to Improve Ingredient Labeling Formats

Our friends at the Center For Science in the Public Interest recently filed a petition requesting that the FDA adopt a regulation that establishes format standards for ingredient lists on the labels of all food products. The proposed format is similar to the format of the "Nutrition Facts" label that currently appears on all packaged food products. The petition additionally proposes a specific format for listing allergenic ingredients. This would make it a lot easier for us to select safe foods for our families.
