pMy husband called Pepsi yesterday to find out about their soda's, just to make sure they are safe. The rep told him that some of their diet products, did not say which ones, contain nut extracts. She went on to say that there would be no chance of cross contamination however because each soda has it's own vat. I then called myself and spoke with a Linda who said that this is not true and that they use no nut anything in any of their products. She said she would look into what the other girl told my dh and call me back, have not heard back yet.br /
Also, I called Coke and they assurred me right off that none of their products contain nut anything. But, he did give me an important tip... he said that you have to pay attention to what you are buying. He said they can only speak for products that are made by the coca-cola company. He said there are products out there that say 'bottled by coca-cola'. He said that means these products are only bottled in a coca-cola bottling plant but they are not coca-cola products and may not be safe. So he said to make sure to read on the bottle what it says, if it is a product of or just bottled by. I thanked him for telling me that because I thought that was a really good thing to know.br /
Anyway, has anyone else ever been given this info by Pepsi?br /
Thanksbr /

Oh my goodness!! I drink diet pepsi practically by the gallons and I let my son have little drinks of it occasionally. I have not noticed anything reaction wise, but PLEASE let us know when you get confirmation from them about this. I will avoid it until then.
Thanks,
Jaime

Yes, they got back to me a couple days later, sorry about not posting it! That was irrisponsible of me!!
The rep called back and said that there are no nuts, nut oils or nut extracts of any kind in any of their products. She said she did track down the rep who spoke with my husband and she was confused. She told my husband to watch the diet products because, for some reason, she was thinking that people with PA/TNA could not have nutra-sweet. She said it was something about the protiens she was confused about but that she definetly verified there are not nuts in any of Pepsi's products, diet or otherwise.
