My son is 3 yrs old with a peanut allergy.br /
I'm about 45mins from you. Any luck finding a support group in the area??/p

pNot yet, however another mom I know with a PA daughter in first grade has been a big proponent for forming a support group within our local elementary school. She is a former guidance counselor and has expertise in this area. I forgot to ask her this past weekend if her efforts have been successful in getting something like this off the ground. If would be nice to have something locally for more kids, though./p
pI plan on asking her soon about this./p

I know of about 5 people in our area that could start a group. Having someone in your life "that gets it" is such a comfort. Gotta run my little peanut allergic 3 year old is climbing all over my lap top....Hope to hear from you soon./p

pI just talked to the person I told you about in my previous post. We are meeting sometime next week to discuss a support group as well as our meeting with the school superintendent to bring him up to speed on PA issues./p
pI'll keep you posted on support group ideas./p
