Peanuts and Alcohol

I work at a bar and often i am handed shots. I am afraid to takes random shots because im not sure if I will have a reaction to Amarretto or not, anyone have any idea or experience with that?

I don't know anything about alcohol but I did speak with a guy who said his peanut allergic friend had a reaction to some liquor that had peanut in it - can't remember the name. I would be very careful if I were you.

Go to the "adults living with peanut allergy" board and either go through the pages or use the search function to search for alcohol. We've made some lists of drinks with nuts there.

I have a cousin who is allergic to peanuts and reacted to a drink once. I don't know what was in it. I don't know if he is allergic to tree nuts. Be careful.

This may be covered in the adult section posts, but I would also be worried about the association with bars and serving peanuts. Any chance that someone handing you a glass has peanut residue on their hands?
