Hi! I have been searching on here for the topic of peanut free cat foods because I thought I saw something on here before but cannot find anything now so I hope nobody minds that I am posting this. I am wondering if anyone has contacted Nutro about their cat foods? I contacted science diet which my kitties eat now and they say they would not recommend anyone with peanut allergy to handle their product. It doesn't contain peanuts but I believe they said it's a cross contamination problem. My son who is 3 and PA is wanting to help with the kitties more now and I have been afraid of him handling their food until I know for sure it is safe! I contacted Nutro via email but it was in the middle of us moving and had not heard back before our email was changed. Just thought I would check here to see if anyone has any information about Peanut safe kitty foods! Thank you so much for any help!

Have a blessed day!

My cat eats Nutro canned food. Honestly, I don't recall if I ever called them to check on it, but DS has been feeding our cat for years with no problems.
BTW, I highly recommend the Nutro wet food. When we adopted our cat (about 6 1/2 years ago) his coat was rough and dry. Within a few weeks of switching him to Nutro, he had a sleek, shiny orange coat. You can view a photo of his beautiful fur on OT under "Our Pets" (shameless cat-mom brag! I did call on the Eukanuba dry years ago, and that is fine too.
