Erik, at the time of the recall did you stop eating the Favourites? And, specifically, would you feel comfortable eating them now?
Since I have kids, I often prefer to buy the packages of small bars - so possibly you would be willing to eat them, but haven't simply because you buy full size bars. kwim?
Thanks for the heads up, I live in the USA and my neighbors bring candy back for us from Canada.
wow, my gf sends us candy all the time from Canada. Last time she sent us valentines of kit kats and aero bars though.
Just thought you would all like to know - I think I know the child that had a reaction. (I mean *know* her mom on-line.) She is fine.

This is the first recall that really scares me. I'd really like to know HOW.
AnnaMarie, I agree. When I read this recall this morning I felt a little sick. I mean it is a product that is labeled peanut free. If we can't trust those products which ones can we trust? I'd also like to know 'how'?
Wow. Maybe Nestle could tell us "how"?
Best wishes!

"That was Polanski. Nicholson got his nose cut."
The only thing I can think of is that they do make "Coffee Crisp beans" and "Coffee Crisp hearts" in a facility that does use peanuts. So could some of these products been distributed in the wrong package? No idea though.
Maybe someone can call Nestle for further details.

I just checked there web-site. I wasn't surprised that there is no statement on it about the recall. Since it is the weekend - I will check again on Monday although, honestly, I don't expect to see one then either.
I read about this reaction on another website and hoped it wasn't the coffee crisp! Scary
I would also like to know how it could happen.
Ali
it sounds like the treat sized Coffee Crisp? I thought their "peanut free" products were manufactured at a different facility - so I'm curious to know how this happened too. And, darn it all anyway, I KNOW I put these in my son's safe snack box a school, so I'm going to have to go through it Monday morning.
Edited to add: I sent Nestle an email, asking for more info on how this happened - I will post their answer if I get a reply.
