I know FAN put out all that information about peanut oil, but my PA daughter recently had a reaction to what we believe was the peanut oil. We ordered from a place we know uses peanut oil. She did not eat anything actually fried in the oil. I think she touched the hands of one of my other daughters eating french fries. Her eyes got red and swollen. She also began to wheeze. I had never heard wheezing was a sign of an attack (she does have asthma). She took her inhaler and benadryl. She has never reacted to the smell of peanuts nor the touch that we are aware of. So, if peanut oil is so safe in the USA, how could such a minor encounter with it cause a reaction? Has anyone else had the peanut oil cause a reaction?
