I hope I posted on the right topic here! Anyhow, I was at work this morning (I work for a major grocery store) doing my job when I walked by an refrigerated endcap and I saw PEANUT MILK!! I wouldnt have known it was peanut milk but the word peanut caught my eye! It is in one of those plastic jugs like Nesquick flavored milk and is in the 8 to about 12 oz size. I could see this being in the nutrition center but this was right there with O.j, string cheese etc. It was in a section that has new products. We also have new orange juice that gives your choice of no pulp, a little pulp or alot of pulp! I thought the peanut milk too much like chocolate milk packaging!!! Heads up!!!

I knew after I posted that someone was going to ask me that.. I was going to go back and look for the manufacturer but did not have time and I am off work tomorrow BUT, I will. go by and see who makes it tomorrow. Man, I thought about that all morning before I left too! It is really creppy to see that on the shelf. Has anyone else seen peanut milk before? i have never sen anything like it. I have seen almond milk that comes in a carton like soy milk or chicken broth but never peanut milk let alone in a lil milk jug like you get at mc donalds...

I agree with a PP, that is the most disgusting thing, allergy or NO allergy. I couldn't imagine even beginning to think about drinking anytype of other milk rather than chocolate or whole (I LOVE my whole milk).
Thanks for letting us know. I'm really curious as to who makes it. If it turns out to be Hershey's I'll be sooo mad.

Was it this?
Or was it "chocolate peanut butter flavored milk" like Shamrock Farms has? (which by the way, is chemical flavor, NO peanut protein...right on the label!)

Believe it. I have seen the stuff myself. I don't get the impression that it is peanut flavored cow's milk, rather that it is more like soymilk. I.e. a "milk" made from peanut flour and water.

That is the peanut milk that we have, the exact same bottle. I agree it sounds terrible, I doubt it will sell so hopefully we can get it off the shelf.. next thing Im looking at is how long is the shelf life on it?

Please excuse me, but I just read up on the link. I went to updates and it says people allergic to peanuts should consult their doctor before drinking it! DUH! and also , you'll have to excuse me again but they have been praying about this "miraculous" product that claims to heal all kinds of ailments.. It almost sounds like some wonder drug, they even want you to participate in studies. Well, just read the link, it's really weird.

Ahhhh, yes. A new "Neutraceutical." Great.
While I agree that for our community, this is terrible stuff.... there isn't anything overtly "wrong" with the health claims they are making.... any more than there is with other supplement makers. The science doesn't "back them up" so much as it is "consistent" with those claims, by virtue of peanuts component nutrients. For example, vitamin E is good for skin. (This is what their "science" thus far has to say... courtesy of a UC Davis prof.)
But I must say it sounds incredibly nasty. Hopefully so.

It doesn't surprise me....there is peanut-butter cereal, peanut butter milk shakes, why not peanut butter milk(it's probably a mix of choc milk with pb...tastes like a reeces pb cup).....if I didn't have a child with the allergy, I would probably try it.
I hope the package is very clear.....we don't buy choc milk anyways, thankfully....but maybe next time at the store, point it out to your child, so they at least know what it looks like and to avoid it! Thanks for the heads up!!!
