Hi,
I am allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. The word I used for peanut while I was living in China is Huasheng. That is the Mandarin word for peanut. Great idea for a thread!
Thank you

Russian- arakhis (looks like APAXUC), with the U actually being what resembles a backward N).
nut in russian is orekh, which looks like opex.
In many languages, arakhis/arachis is a good flag, because Arachis hypogaea is the scientific name for peanut. Cosmetics sometimes list arachis oil, which is peanut oil.

An alternate Japanese word for peanut is "piinatsu", taken right from the English. It's more common than the other word, at least from my experience.
