Peanut free coffee houses would be awesome!! I'm a coffee lover, but I"m afraid to go to little cafe's/coffee houses because of all the sweets they always have there. I can definitely live without it, but it would be really nice to go to one I don't have to be on my toes in.

I just put my vote in. Also, just to update, not sure if it has been mentioned, but the cookies that Starbucks sells "the madelines" at the register are safe to eat from PA/TNA...I spoke with a woman today

Are they baked there? If so, I could not consider them safe unless they are packaged and label separately, handled separately, etc. That would be exciting if they truly are!

The Madelines are in a seperate package, and they are not baked onsite

I just wanted to let you all know that Starbucks has reviewed the peanut safe Starbucks idea and has asked the poster for more info. This is under his other post for an "Allergy Aware" Starbucks.

I agree....it's fantastic that they are listening. there was actually one poster on the original idea who acknowledged that he nor his family have food allergies. He further stated that he learned much here from all of the posters and thought it a great idea that Starbucks become a food allergy/aware friendly atmosphere. WOW! Someone who listened and understood!!!
So, if you have not voted...please, please do.

I LOVE IT!!! DH and I have thrown around the idea of opening a nut free donut shop/ice cream shop. The concept of serving donuts in the AM, ice cream in the PM has popped up around around our area, but I have yet to see any place advertise itself as nut free. Having worked in the food service industry the idea has seemed interesting, we're just afraid it would not create enough buzz to really get business going and be able to complete with all the other shops in the area. What do ya'll think?
