Now now ladies... play nice!
Remember, it's our immune system's abnormal response to the normally benign peanut that's causing the allergy. I just posted that in another thread in the off-topic section, but it sure fits in here nicely!
That would be why Tanox is working on a vaccine for *us*, and research on genetically altering the peanut is not progressing. Cayley is also allergic to shrimp and I don't wish a bunch of them would float out with the rain!

I think it's okay to once in a while get in a little jab. Especially since the 'peanut guys' involve themselves so heartily in the business of allergies. If they left us alone or just focussed on helping us, I'd say "you're right" but since they control, (for their own purposes), so much of what goes on around peanut allergies, and the media, research, and statistics, being happy to see a little rain once in a while is not so naughty.
If I were them, I'd consider switching to herding goats. Goats don't mind the rain.

Maybe, there will be a shortage of peanut, the price will go up and the manufacturer's will stop using them.

then of course, they would flood the market with goat milk products/goat meat in a wide varity of cheap wholesome foods, and more of us would be allergic to it.
